Moby Team is pleased to announce the first public release, Version
1.0 beta of MOBY1 for Android, which is now available for purchase.

What is MOBY?

MOBY is a set of Clarion templates simplifying the creation of native
applications for mobile platforms. The programmer defines the database
structure: tables, columns and relationships. Then - using the
templates – he/she generates source code of applications in the native
language (as for Android, the language is Java). In the case of simple
applications aimed at data browsing and editing and exchanging them
between the device, the server and other mobile devices, the knowledge
of a programming language is not required. Currently, with MOBY ONE,
in the case when the mobile application has to process the data
(typical UI excluded), a modification of the generated code will be
required - involving the knowledge of the programming language of the
target platform. The planned MOBY2 will enable the specification of
data processing within MOBY using the Clarion programming
environment.

MOBY is currently under development. Templates allowing to generate an
Android application and generating REST Web Service code are in their
beta stages and are available. Templates generating code for
iPhone/iPad
and for devices running Action Script/Flex (like Blackberry playbook)
are
under development.

It generate Android application code which enables to browse and edit
data in the smartphone. The functionality of this application is
similar to the Clarion generated application (except report
procedures).

Enhanced Version
Advanced
It generate Android application like Standard Version and has an
additional option of exchanging data with the external Server SQL,
using the service REST.

We also offer Server side WEB service generator templates.
It generate the code C# of the REST Service application and SQL
script, which allows to create a complete database (tables, relations,
stored procedures, views) for Web Service.

Using Enhanced version and REST Service you can synchronize data
between mobile application and your clarion application.

Interesante, me hace acordar al viejo y querido Fenix...

Hago una acotacion, quizas obvia: Este tipo de cosas sirven como para armar algo basico, olvidense de poder hacer una aplicacion "vendible" sin conocer bien la tecnologia real sobre la que se va a trabajar.

tengo un sistema desde el 2004 corriendo con el fenix y nadie se queja, en cambio han hecho cosas con tecnologias mas modernas y con miles de problemas...
